About EAR&Rings

My name is Merdad, a MFA graduate in Jewelry Design and Metal Art in San Francisco. I am originally from Iran, therefore cultural heritage and immigration have strongly affected my works as a designer. At school I attempted to reestablish harmony between my cultural heritage and modernity in my art pieces. In early 2023 I decided to start my brand, Ear&Ring, in America where I have less of community and support but am full of hope. For me modern art could be the most effective medium of expression and the best way to convey a message behind each piece of my jewelry. At Ear&Ring I am influenced by clean lines, modern forms and contemporary designs and patterns, and strive to infuse them together and make the best composition out to those visual elements to create jewelries that would bring happiness, joy and positivity to people’s life and ultimately interact with the body in the best visual look.
